The Lothian Ruritan Club offers scholarships to eligible students from the following High Schools:

1. South River High School
2. Southern High School
3. Center for Applied Technology - South
4. Northern High School
5. Huntingtown High School​

 
​Lothian's Ruritan Club Scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated an interest in community service.

Applicants living in South Anne Arundel County or Northern Calvert County of Maryland are eligible to apply.

2026 Applications Due by February 13, 2026

Announcing 2026 Scholarships
The Lothian Ruritan Club offers twelve (12) $1,000.00 scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service.
 
Deadline for Submission:

• February 13, 2026

To be eligible the applicant must:

•  Carry a minimum 2.5 GPA
•  Reside in Southern Anne Arundel County or Northern Calvert County, Maryland AND/OR attend Southern High School (Harwood), South River High School (Edgewater), Center for Applied Technology – South (Edgewater), Northern High School (Owings) or Huntingtown High School (Huntingtown)
•  Submit a complete application (including signed application form, essay, and up to two (2) letters of recommendation) 
•  Ensure that the student’s high school sends an official copy of his/her transcript
